Best things about my birthday:
1) The parentals showed up to surprise me.
2) I celebrated with people I actually like (not a yearly occurrence, trust me.)
3) It's a prime number (Someone keeps insisting this is "cool")
4) 60+ people sang to me and remembered my name during the "...happy birthday dear so-and-so" part of the song.
5) Free tequila/sombreros at my favorite Mexican place. Need I say more?
6) Guitar Hero!
Worst things about my birthday:
1) Marco's expired visa. :(
2) I left my birthday cake on the bottom of the cart in the grocery store parking lot and had to speed back to save it from certain doom after seeing Lex mouth "oh fuck" in slow motion when we got home.
3) I'm old.
4) Some asshole rammed his truck into my little car as he was backing up to snatch the last parking space at school. (HELLO!? REAR VIEW MIRROR?!).
5) I think my uterus wants to have "the talk."
6) First birthday in almost 10 years without an email/photos from Raf.
Advice, anyone?

I loved the line about the Uterus talk. So true.
It makes me sad that he didn't call or even send a text. Just a text, is that really too much to ask??
You're so sweet. Yes, I have been a total slacker. I went a bit depress-o on myself for a stint there but now I'm back to normal.
Also, I found one of my old journals yesterday in which I dedicate at least 30% of the pages to Raf, so many more flashbacks to come!
Lastly, I don't think he'll ever text me or write me again, but I couldn't help but secretly hope. Sad sad sad.
Birthdays just get harder and harder. Remember when it was fun to have a birthday?
Back when ponies and jumbo-bouncer tents and ordered pizza really did it for ya?
